Adam spent the last 8 years working in London in the financial services industry. As Executive Director of Commodities Trading at Goldman Sachs, he was responsible for the Commodities Structured Products franchise. Prior to this, he worked in Derivatives Trading where he was responsible for electronic trading for private clients in fixed income, currencies and commodities products. Adam studied Business Mathematics and Statistics at the London School of Economics.
Dr. Ella Rabener

Ella combines a finance background with several years of experience building e-commerce startups. As founder and CEO of Westwing.ru she grew the site over 3 years into the dominating online player in the home & living category in Russia. She also spent 7 years at McKinsey & Company in New York, Dubai, Munich and Cologne working for private equity and consumer goods clients as well as advising banks on risk management topics. Ella has a diploma in Business Administration with a specialisation in Banking and Financial Derivatives from the University of Frankfurt as well as a Maîtrise degree from the University of Lyon. She also has a doctoral degree from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel.

Simon joined Scalable Capital after 8 years working in finance with Barclays Capital. He began trading industrial metals on the London Metal Exchange and rose to the position of Vice President and Global Head of Base Metals Options. Whilst Simon’s primary role was trading and managing risk, he also worked with both institutional and corporate clients to discover hedging solutions and, in his latter years, he helped develop an e-trading platform. Simon studied Mathematics and Economics at the University of Warwick.

Erik has many years of experience in the financial and e-commerce sector. Until last, he was Co-CEO at Westwing Home & Living Germany. Prior to this, Erik spent 7 years working in London and Frankfurt as an Executive Director and Vice President for Goldman Sachs. Erik studied Business and Economics at the University of Kiel and Warwick Business School. In addition, he was a tutor for statistics and econometrics.

Florian spent over 8 years in the financial services industry based in New York, Frankfurt and most recently London. As an Executive Director in Securities Trading at Goldman Sachs, he worked on a pan-European electronic trading platform for private investors. Prior to this, he serviced private banks and asset managers in Germany and Austria. Florian studied Business and Electronics at the Technical University of Munich.
Prof. Stefan Mittnik, PhD

Stefan is Professor of Financial Econometrics and Director of the Center for Quantitative Risk Analysis at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich as well as Fellow at the Center for Financial Studies (CFS) in Frankfurt. After obtaining his PhD in the U.S., he taught in New York and Kiel before moving to Munich in 2003, and has since held a number of visiting positions in the U.S. He served on the Research Advisory Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Review Board of the German Research Foundation and was research director at the CFS and the Ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich. For more than 25 years, he has conducted research on analyzing, modeling and forecasting financial risk.

Andreas has managed mobile platforms within banking and e-commerce for the last 5 years. As Head of Mobile Engineering for GetYourGuide in Zurich and Berlin, he built the engineering team and developed their mobile platform. He previously worked at Avaloq Evolution AG in Zurich, the leading core banking provider in Switzerland. He was in charge of the Avaloq Front Platform and he oversaw customer projects in the areas of mobile and web banking where his primary responsibilities were in quality and security assurance. Andreas studied Telematics at the Graz University of Technology and he holds a doctorate at ETH Zurich in the field of Embedded Real Time Systems.

Alexis holds a doctoral degree in law and worked for four years in the Hamburg office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Prior to this, he completed a traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg with in house experience at White & Case and the legal department of Thomson Reuters . Alexis studied at the Bucerius Law School and the NYU School of Law.
Dr. Nikolay Robinzonov

Nikolay brings experience as a Quant-Consultant in software development to asset management, clearing companies and banks. He wrote his quantitative dissertation on statistics at LMU Munich on the topic of forecasting market risk. Nikolay studied applied mathematics at the University of Sofia and statistics at the LMU in Munich. He also completed an internship at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich.

Before her experience at the Munich Startup she took care of Venture Capital Funds at a tax adviser for 4 years. Dr. Steffen Pauls
Dr. Steffen Pauls lives in Munich and until recently was responsible for the German market at the private equity fund KKR. Prior to that, he served as managing director at KKR Capstone and was responsible for the operational management of numerous portfolio companies. Prior to joining KKR, he was a co-founder and CEO of firstfive Inc., and worked for several years at Boston Consulting Group. He was a member of the supervisory board of several well-known German companies. Dr. Steffen Pauls studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and at Harvard University. He also completed a Master's degree at the prestigious ESSEC Business School in Paris.
Tim Marbach is a German entrepreneur and early stage venture investor. After studying at WHU Business School, he founded his first company, Kaufda - bonial.com, in 2008, which he sold to Axel Springer in 2011. In 2013, Tim moved to Southeast Asia and has since co-founded four consumer internet companies through his private Internet holding Asia Venture Group. These companies have successfully invested over 50 million US dollars and currently employ over 1,000 employees in 13 offices. Tim Marbach continues to be a globally active early stage investor.
Reiner Mauch is the co-founder of Consors, one of the first online brokers in Germany to become one of the first major German Internet companies. Since 2000 Reiner Mauch has been active as a business angel and invests primarily in online companies, including Xing, Qype, Plazes, Scalable Capital and others. Reiner holds a degree in Computer Science from TH Karlsruhe.
Rahul Mehta is a Managing Partner at Digital Sky Technologies (DST), a world-leading technology growth fund. DST has invested in companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Alibaba, Spotify, Klarna, Zalando, Box, Flipkart, Airbnb and Lending Club. Previously, Rahul Mehta worked for Goldman Sachs in London. He holds a degree from the renowned Indian Institute of Management.
